Good Seed Korean United Methodist Church (www.facebook.com/goodseedkumc/), is looking for a dedicated and passionate part-time Director of Youth Ministry for English speaking second generation youths.
The Youth Ministry Director will be responsible for organizing and coordinating ongoing ministries that maximize 6th-12th grade students’ growth as disciples of Christ, while building relationships with parents. Under the supervision from Senior Pastor, this position works in close partnerships with all youth kids to encourage their faith to grow through the following offerings: student gathering for Sunday worship, Life Groups and Bible studies on Friday evening. In addition to opportunities to serve our neighbors throughout the year, youth also serve annually on the youth ministry mission trip. The successful candidate will be 1) a Christ-centered born-again Christian, 2) an open-mined heart for cross-cultural understanding as well as bridge-building with Korean-speaking parents and English-speaking kids, and 3) willingness to commit for spiritual formation and discipleship by actively engaging with Korean-American 2nd generation kids. This position is a part-time approximately 12-15 hours/ week (Friday evening and Sunday) and seminary-degree is not required.
