Full-Time Youth Pastor
Overview:
NCFC is a non-denominational Christian church in the Greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.
We love God because He created and loved us first. We call Jesus our Savior and Lord, and we
believe the Holy Spirit lives in us to actively empower us, challenge us, teach us, guide us, and mold
us to be like Christ in all things. Our purpose is to honor God by making disciples of all nations.
Our Virginia Campus, located in Sterling, VA, is seeking a full-time Youth Pastor. The Youth Ministry
consists of about 50 mostly second generation Korean American middle to high school-aged
students (6th-12th grade).
Primary Duties:
Lead and preach in weekly Youth Sunday Worship service
Coordinate Sunday Youth bible study classes with teachers and ministry volunteers
Coordinate Friday night Youth group activities and student-led small group meetings
Develop and coordinate various activities and programs throughout the year to spur on spiritual
growth of youth
Develop, train, and disciple small group leaders and teachers
Provide pastoral care through mentoring, nurturing, and visitation
Maintain proactive and timely communications with the VA EC Pastor, VA Campus Lead Pastor,
and Education Advisory Boards
Qualifications & Skills:
M.Div. degree or pursuing a M.Div. degree from an accredited seminary
Praise and worship leading skills (preferred but not required)
Have passion for youth, not just for ministry
Ability to communicate scripture effectively to youth
Humble and teachable before God and people
Demonstrate spiritual maturity through consistent prayer life and devotional time
Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English (bilingual in Korean preferred but not
required)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with a team
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
